Texture comes first, then motion. Fine gold wire is worked by hand into a plump, rounded tube, and crystals are added to its surface one at a time, each threaded and knotted individually. Near the ends they sit sparsely, scattered across the weave. Toward the centre they gather and thicken, then break away into loose strands that swing at different lengths, each tipped with a single facet. The mesh stays steady while the fringe responds to every turn of the wrist. The result is a surface that is dense where it rests and unsettled where it moves.
